Recycling 101

Learn how you can do your part in maintaining a sustainable environment to pave the way for the smart cities of tomorrow.

The Dangers of Improper E-waste Disposal

Improper disposal of electronic waste is a problem that requires multiple solutions.

Electronic equipment contains toxic contaminants that can cause water and air pollution and are of particular concern when disposed of in landfills. Exposure to toxic metals found in these wastes can also cause serious health problems.

To help lessen the growing e-waste problem, Bidi Vapor initiated the BIDI® Cares program to offer adult consumers aged 21 years and over, a way to recycle their used BIDI® Sticks.

DO YOUR PART FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

Reduce your carbon footprint and be mindful of the products that you purchase. Learn about organizations close to you and volunteer if you can. Encouraging others to see the value and beauty of nature and its wildlife may be the most important way to help save it.

Thank you for supporting sustainability by recycling your used BIDI® Sticks.

Here’s how to participate:

Step 1: Collect Your Used BIDI® Sticks

For mailing through the USPS, prepare your used BIDI® Sticks in batches of 40 sticks maximum per shipment. Between shipments, please store your empty BIDI® Sticks in a secure, room-temperature environment, out of the reach of people under the age of 21 and away from heat sources.

Step 2: Prepare Proper Packaging and Mailing Via USPS

To properly participate in BIDI® Cares, you must use the United States Postal Service (USPS). To do so, first visit a USPS location or go online to usps.com and obtain a free Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box sized 8 ⅝ x 5 ⅜ x 1 ⅝. Once you have the box and complete the registration and/or shipping label step below, you must visit a USPS location in person to verify your age (21+) using a government-issued I.D. The USPS store clerk must check the I.D. before accepting the package for mailing.

Step 3: Register or Create a New Shipping Label

Step 3: Agree to Terms

Review the following terms and conditions.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. AGE-RESTRICTED PRODUCT: Underage sale of BIDI® Stick products is prohibited. By agreeing to participate in the BIDI® Cares Recycling Program, you certify that you are of legal age (21+) and have purchased the BIDI® Stick through an age-verified sales transaction.
  2. HARMFUL CONTENTS: Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not use the product if pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not ingest. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
  3. IN CASE OF EMERGENCY: If e-liquid is swallowed, call a Poison Control Center or doctor immediately. Do not induce vomiting. Rinse well with water if in the eyes or on the skin.
  4. CAUTION:
    • Do not expose the BIDI® Stick to temperatures above 113°F (45°C).
    • Do not improperly dispose of, crush, or puncture the BIDI® Stick.
    • Do not expose the BIDI® Stick to fire, heat, or water.
    • Keep the BIDI® Stick out of reach of children.
    • Do not recharge the BIDI® Stick.

Step 4: Obtain a Free USPS Shipping Box

Shipment must be in a cardboard shipping box. For USPS, it’s the Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box, 8 5/8″ x 5 3/8″ x1 5/8″. Obtain this free box through the mail at http://store.usps.com or at a USPS location near you.

Step 5: Print 2 Labels

  • Print out these two shipping labels and affix them onto the address side of the shipment box.

Step 6: Deliver in person to a USPS location

Once you have properly sealed and labeled the shipping box, bring the package to a retail USPS counter for face-to-face acceptance. The USPS clerk will verify your government-issued I.D. and identify you as being 21 or older. The clerk will then scan the package and when accepted, you will receive a receipt. Bidi Vapor thanks you for recycling with BIDI® Cares and helping the industry become more sustainable.
